What to Do ?

What to Do ?

While wet, stuff your shoes with newspaper, set them as far away as you can from any heat source and let them dry slowly over a few days. The reason being that if heat is used it can cause the leather fibres to shrink and stiffen up the leather. Plus there might occur a loss of lubricants such as fats and grease that keep the leather soft. (Well mainly in the case of vegetable tanned leather)

Once your shoes are dry give them a good brush and depending on what leather you have feed it with some maintenace product. Fat for greasy leather, (silicone free shoe shine for normal leather and just brushing if they are suede shoes.

If they dryed already as you mention there is little to do to get the wrinkles out other than make them wet again and stretch them over a last or stick a shoe stretcher in your Shoes.
